Updated sanction report

The Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research EAER has amended Annex 2 to the Regulation of 22. June 2005 on measures against the Democratic Republic of Congo (RS 946.231.12).

On the 19th In September 2022, the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research EAER amended the list of persons, companies and entities sanctioned in this context. The change is directly applicable in Switzerland. The WBF has therefore adapted the sanctions database SESAM (SECO Sanctions Management), which is relevant for Switzerland, and published the adaptation on its website. The change will take effect on the 20th. September 2022 at 6 p.m.


Financial intermediaries are invited to block the corresponding assets immediately and to notify SECO of such business relationships in accordance with the provisions of the regulation. The notification to SECO does not exempt a financial intermediary from reporting immediately to the reporting office for money laundering in accordance with Art. 9 of the Money Laundering Act if the conditions are met.

Swiss authorities have removed:

from their DRC sanctions.
