OFSI imposes monetary penalty
OFSI has imposed a monetary penalty for a breach of financial sanctions regulations between March and June 2018.
A penalty notice was issued to Clear Junction Limited (“Clear Junction”) in accordance with s146 of the Policing and Crime Act 2017 for breaches under The Ukraine (European Union Financial Sanctions) (No. 2) Regulations 2014.
A penalty of £36,393.45 was imposed.
The imposition of this penalty follows an investigation undertaken by OFSI and the conclusion of the relevant process, in line with OFSI’s published guidance.
Notes:
- Right now, you’re going to have to search for “OFSI Clear Junction” – the guidance page, while it has lists of enforcements, lost all the hyperlinks.
- The PDF isn’t selectable – you know that I usually cut and paste from the actual action. And, as much as I like producing these for you, I ain’t hand-typing this….
- And, yes, I will email OFSI about both of these issues.
