Updated sanctions report

The Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research EAER has amended Annexes 2, 3, 4 and 5 to the Ordinance of 30. March 2011 on measures against Libya (RS 946.231.149.82).

On the 23rd. On November 11, 2021, the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research EAER amended the list of persons, companies and organizations sanctioned in this context. The change is directly applicable in Switzerland. The EAER therefore on the 24th November 2021, the sanctions database SESAM (SECO Sanctions Management), which is relevant for Switzerland, was adapted and the adaptation published on its website. The change will take effect on the 24th. November 2021 at 6 p.m.

Swiss authorities removed the following person:

Sex: M POB: Alassa, Libya Good quality a.k.a.: a) Al-Mahmoudi Al-Baghdadi Ali b) Al- Mahmoudi Al-Baghdadi Ali Address: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Nationality: Libya Justification: Prime Minister of Colonel Qadhafi’s Government. Closely associated with the former regime of Muammar Qadhafi. Modifications: Amended on 28 Aug 2015, 13 Aug 2021, de-listed on 24 Nov 2021

from its Libya financial and travel sanctions programs – the SSID for the travel listing is 130-20435
