SECO also removes Baghdad Stock Exchange from Iraq sanctions

Updated sanction notification 

The State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) has published an amendment to the Annex to the Ordinance of 7 August 1990 on Economic Measures against the Republic of Iraq (SR 946.206).By resolution of September 21, 2021, the responsible UN sanctions committee changed the list of persons, companies and organizations sanctioned in this context. The change is directly applicable in Switzerland. On September 22, 2021, SECO therefore adapted the SESAM (SECO Sanctions Management) sanctions database, which is relevant for Switzerland, and published the adaptation on its website .

Swiss authorities, in response to the changes made by the United Nations Sanctions Committee, have removed:

SSID: 70-2016 Name: Baghdad Stock Exchange
Address: The White Palace, Al Nidhal Street, P.O.Box 5157, Baghdad, Iraq Modifications: De-listed on 21 Sep 2021

from their Iraq sanctions program.
