Reminder about UK Post-Brexit export control webinars

Dear Notice To Exporter subscribers

I hope you have seen Notice to Exporters 2020/14 about actions to take to register for the EU Dual Use Open General Export Licence in preparation for the end of the EU transition period.

In addition, as part of the changes to the UK’s sanctions framework, existing EU sanctions regimes are being transitioned into UK law through regulations made under the Sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering Act 2018. EU sanctions will no longer apply in the UK from 11pm on 31 December 2020

The UK Government is hosting a series of webinars to help you understand how the new legislation and processes might affect your work, and what you will need to do to ensure compliance with regulations. Webinars for the Finance, Legal and NGO sectors, have taken place [link]; and we will now be hosting three further sessions:

Speakers will include representatives from the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, HM Treasury, Department for International Trade and other government departments. You will be given the opportunity to ask questions to help you prepare for the end of the transition period.

Please register your interest via the relevant Eventbrite link above.

For data protection reasons, please ensure you register for an Eventbrite account, preferably using an official email address, so that you can opt out of Eventbrite using your data.

For further information on UK sanctions and compliance, please read GOV.UK guidance on current sanctions regimes, and the new legislation which will come into force from 1 January 2021.
