Dear Sir/ Madam

Defence Export Controls (DEC) would like to invite you to attend our outreach event in Sydney on 11 June 2019 at the University of Technology Sydney.

Outreach is aimed at industry and research institutions that are involved in the export, supply, publication or other movement of military and dual-use goods and technology. The goal of this program is to raise awareness of export control law by looking at what is required of exporters, what to expect when applying, and the export landscape.

This year, we will be visiting the following cities:

Sydney 11 June

Adelaide 22 July

Darwin 24 July

Brisbane 24 September

Perth 3 October

Registration and program details for our upcoming Sydney event can be accessed here.

If you are a regular exporter and familiar with DEC, or attended one of our outreach events in 2018, you may wish to skip the ‘Introduction to Export Controls’ presentation, and just attend the ‘Whole of Government’(from 10.45am) and afternoon ‘Practical Application’ sessions. There is no need to advise us in advance, but please ensure you do register during the morning tea or lunch periods.

Registration details for each subsequent city will be posted on our website in the coming months.

We have taken your feedback from last year into consideration, and are working towards an even better program. However, we still need your input in order to make it more beneficial for you.

We are looking forward to a new year of Outreach and we hope to see you all there.

Kind regards,

Defence Export Controls
