For some light bedtime reading, I have new new articles for you listed on the Publications page. First, there is Sanctions Compliance: The bare minimum isn’t enough, which was just published in the magazine of the Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries. It’s a bit long – they wanted 2000-2500 words – but it’s about the things you miss, and the risks you leave yourself open to, if you are trying to do the absolute minimum.
Secondly, I’ve just published my first piece for KYC360 – Herding Cats: Understanding the Combating America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions Act is about some interesting things hidden in the CATS Act that may portend the future direction of US sanctions. Much shorter (abotu half the length, if that much), and that was actually a little longer than they normally like.
And, yes, these were not the original titles… short and pithy was replaced by long and completely explanatory… oh, well.
