Two things happened Thursday at OFAC. First, the President issued a new Executive Order amending Executive Order 13694, the one that established the cyber-related sanctions program. The E.O. now adds potential sanctions for those who are responsible for “tampering, altering, or causing the misappropriation of information with the purpose or effect of interfering with or undermining election processes or institutions.”
