DFAT has updated its Consolidated List again, based on 2 new entities being added to the UN’s sanctions list. The UN release is very explicit about the history of the 2 individuals being added, their role in atrocities and their involvement in the M23 “mutiny” under the direction of General Ntaganda (they both hold the rank of colonel).
Most watchlists don’t offer this level of detail. It’s kind of refreshing to have this reminder of why sanctions lists exist.
